Bond University Latin Society (BULS)
The Bond University Latin Society is a student-based society that is aimed at providing an opportunity for those with an interest in French or Spanish language and culture to embrace such an interest. Although a number of the events organised by the Bond University Latin Society are targeted towards students of French or Spanish, the society is also mindful of including both students who are of a French or Spanish background, as well as students who simply have an interest in the culture of either France or Spain.
The primary aim of the Bond University Latin Society is to increase awareness of the French and Spanish languages and cultures, and this is achieved through the following events run by the Society:
- A French and Spanish movie night
- Conversation groups with French and Spanish speakers
- End of semester dinners at local French and Spanish restaurants
- Attending the Alliance Française French Film Festival in Brisbane in March (January semester)
- Holding a Masquerade Ball to celebrate Bastille Day (May semester)
- Advertising other external French or Spanish events
